High School Counselor - Fort Bend Christian Academy is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of High School Counselor. The ideal candidate will have a strong Christian testimony, 3-5 years of counseling experience at the high school level, and will be a self-starter.  The candidate should also have professional knowledge of helping students and parents plan for and be accepted into college, as well as group and/or individual counseling. A master’s degree is strongly preferred.  The position begins August 1, 2012; possibly earlier if available.

High School Social Studies Teacher - Fort Bend Christian Academy is seeking a certified social studies teacher.  The ideal candidate will have a strong Christian testimony, demonstrated competency in classroom management and instruction, and an interest in student engagement in and out of the formal classroom environment.  Experience coaching or sponsoring co-curricular activities is preferred.  The position is available for the 2012-2013 academic year.

Instructional Technologist - The Instructional Technologist works with teachers, staff, and students to develop and enhance their use of technology through the assessment of competencies and the implementation of subsequent training interventions such as tutorials, workshops, and in-service seminars.  The technologist assists teachers in the selection, design, production, and implementation of instructional solutions for integrating technology into classroom pedagogy; provides training for support staff in the use of requisite software and database systems; and assists students in the use of technology tools and the production and presentation of academic projects.  Position is available June 1, 2012.

The head football coach will provide leadership, guidance and supervision to our seventh grade through varsity football program, in addition to teaching and other coaching duties to be determined.  He will implement a strength, fitness, and flexibility program for all football players, oversee the 7 on 7 program, and lead summer football camps. 

The head coach must be a dynamic, innovative, and inspirational leader with a demonstrated commitment and passion for working with young people and collaborating with colleagues.  He will emphasize the positives, demonstrate a winning attitude, model exceptional sportsmanship, and will be a skilled teacher of fundamentals, strategy, and character.  He will support the school’s mission in providing opportunities for each student to reach his/her maximum potential spiritually, academically, socially, and athletically. 

Requirements include a proven educator with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, experience teaching art, history, or technology courses, and a successful football coaching background.

St. Thomas High School  in Houston

St. Thomas High School is seeking a Head Football Coach, beginning with the 2012-13 school year.  The Head Football Coach will be accountable to the Principal and Athletic Director and will be a teaching member of the faculty.

Qualifications:
Prior head coaching experience at the high school level or a minimum of five (5) years as a coordinator (offensive/defensive).
Ability to work well with students, teachers and parents.
Some coaching experience in a Private/Catholic school setting is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree required.
A State of Texas or TCCED teaching certificate.

St. Agnes Academy in Houston

St. Agnes Academy, a Catholic, college-preparatory Dominican high school for young women in Southwest Houston, is seeking a Director of Athletics to lead the school’s athletics and wellness programs. The Director has direct responsibility for 12 athletic teams (most of which are part of the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools conference), hires and supervises the coaching staff, and provides vision for the school’s new 18-acre athletics complex, as well as athletic facilities on the Academy’s core campus at 9000 Bellaire Boulevard.  The Director will serve as a representative of the Academy’s mission, and as an athletics department spokesperson for media, advancement and admissions initiatives.  The Athletic Director reports to the Principal.   The Director must be an experienced administrative leader with head coaching experience, preferably with high school girls. Candidates must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, with a master’s degree preferred.  Salary will be commensurate with experience.  St. Agnes Academy will begin reviewing applications by January 20, 2012.
